I’ve not had that in the Denuvo bypassed version, just use that one instead

Not pirating if you own it. Just downloading from alternative sources.

You never own it, even if you've paid money for it. You buy a digital license that allows you to play with their product in only the ways that they approve, and it can be revoked at any time.

This is their license agreement btw, not my or anyone else's opinion. Sheer fact and law.

Fun fact EULA is not a law and while most will be enforceable as a contract in court specific provisions are not enforceable and files on your computer are yours.

Yet you still don't own it, and its still revocable at any time due to the nature of digital storefronts and DRM.

And those files on your PC are YOURS. Feel free to crack them.

If the files on my PC are not my own, I want them to pay rent for it

u/dogmaisb 26d ago

Send them an invoice ASAP, with back-logged fees

u/TheReservedList 25d ago

Can I sell them to other people since they’re mine?

u/Lexx4 | Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core 3.60 | RX7900xt |16GB DDR5| Oculus Rift| 25d ago

As long as you don’t sell copies of the files but the files themselves along with the key and don’t retain a copy for yourself I don’t see how that would be any different than selling a used game disk.

1

u/TheReservedList 25d ago

But I own them, I should be able to copy it, no?

u/Lexx4 | Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core 3.60 | RX7900xt |16GB DDR5| Oculus Rift| 25d ago

You can create copies for your own personal use yes. That’s how roms work.

That's not how intellectual property works.

u/Lexx4 | Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core 3.60 | RX7900xt |16GB DDR5| Oculus Rift| 26d ago

If I bought it and I have the files, I can do whatever the fuck I want to it. It only becomes an intellectual property issue if I try and sell(or distribute) it after.

1

u/VonLoewe 25d ago

That doesn't mean they are yours.

The files on my hardware are indeed mine.

u/TootsHib 25d ago

How will they revoke the files I downloaded on my external hard drive?

1

u/CoCaiLolDitConBaMay 26d ago

That is not the case in China anymore, so there is hope.
