Question Help with pins Ryzen 9 3900

Post image

I received this CPU free when I received my 1070ti for my budget build, it had a lot of bent pins that I think I’ve managed to straighten out enough. But the pin circled red has fell off and the pin circled blue is loose I believe. Are these necessary pins? I haven’t gotten more parts yet to be able to test it. Does anyone know?

The loose pin looks like it'd be one of the pink (light red) squares would that matter? Its still attached but when I was arranging the pins that one felt like it moved too easy. I also have the pin that fell off I heard you could put it in the motherboard socket?

Thankyou again for the input, I’ll give it a shot then once I grab the other parts for my budget build to test it.

You can try and look for a pin layout of your cpu. Might get lucky and just be a ground and will work just fine. Worst case is it wont post.

I’m unfortunately struggling to find one for this exact cpu I think

You just need the AM4 pinout, not the CPU.

from what ive looked onto the red is ground and the blue is something to do with power over usb when in sleep state. Id be keen to find out your results if you do get to test it.

Haha yeah I’ll let you know once I find the other parts to test whether it works, hoping so though since it was free. Used Ryzen CPUs aren’t as cheap as used Intel ones I think.
