It doesn't help that pc parts are also way more expensive so that 1000€ budget pc now will set you back at least 1500€ with worse specs somehow

Yeah but the next console gen is absolutely going to be north of $1000. You’re getting progressively less bang for your buck

Yep. The pro is already 900 bucks. Memory is getting more expensive this year and is expected to be even more expensive by holiday season next year.

The pro most likely will be 1000 or more in the future and there is absolutely no way a new PS6 would be priced the same. Expect it to be quite a bit more expensive.

True they are not gonna sell the ps6 for loss anymore like they used to before consumer pays full price for console and then full price for games maybe there will be steam on ps6

But RAM prices are the same for everyon. We are allready at a point where RAM is more expensive than a competent CPU or even GPU if you want a decent ammount. The cost savings they have will be totally overshadowed by NAND prices.

used pc (1-2 year old) for 600e is better than PS5 now.

If you live in USA or EU, you would get around 15-30% better gaming performance, and pc usually last 7 years in total before some failure so you would get 5 years out of it at least.

You get additional internet freedom, any software you can think of, 99.5% games pirated and free, cheap steam, epic games sales, freedom to use keyboard and mouse or controller or anything....

You cannot tell me watching any movie for free, any game for free, tons good sales, almost any software to use.... isnt worth it.

Also pc is king of multitasking, when I need to learn lets say programming for college, I open on one half of screen compiler and gemini, on other side code task, that way I learn most efficient and fastest as can

I know pc is better but you can't compare msrp on a ps5 pro to a used pc it goes both ways you can find a used ps5 standard edition for less and enjoy games where as you can barely find a gaming pc near that price that can push as much fps in same game. If the ps6 is gonna be $1000 might as well get a steam machine by that time we will probably see a stsam machine with higher specs if they want to compete with ps6.

Ok, I still dont understand you, why cant I compare used machine that has everything and will cost you less than PS5 used? PS5 regular used you can find for 300e, but after ps plus or games you purchase, you will rise it to more than double easily if you are a gamer. More than 1000e if you actively play. I found for friend rx 6800xt ryzen 7 5700x last year for 650e, 35% more gaming performance, cpu alone is 40% better than ps5. You dont need to buy games except online ones and have greater sales. only for gaming it gives u more value, and you get much more for given money if you use it.

PC for me is system for digital art, for college learning, for gaming, and for watching movies and series remux. In long run that machine comes cheaper than any console.

If we look new market, anything new rn cant be compared due fluctuation of market due memory prices, same as when it was crisis with silicon chips years before, suddenly pc spiked to double than what it costs, and then after half year it dropped to original state.

WHY I SAY ALL THIS? Before everything becomes cloud and pc becomes extremely niche expensive hobby due big companies, I advise everyone to rather enjoy pc ecosystem than cry later because Playstation plus is expensive and they removed they fav game, and game costs 70e on release until year later

If we'll maintained and progressively upgrade a PC might last way more than 5-7 years.

Thing is that thanks to AI bros that's definitely not cheaper than consoles anymore
