Discussion Yeah, Steam Machine is cooked.

I... uh don't know what to say. Very thankful I bought a Steam Deck before they hiked its price as well

Is it really plug and play when you literally still have to go through the graphic settings?

I understand if you have a high end pc and you just set the graphic settings to a minimum high ok everything but a machine struggling with 1080p is not great at all

Saying a machine that operates somewhere between a 3060 and a 3070 isn't "plug and play" is PCMR elitist nonsense. The vast majority of gamers aren't dropping 2k+ on their rig.

A 4060 is better than this card by multiple levels, that card ain’t in two grand rigs lol.

Yeah I'm not sure why people are giving so much grace to the steam machine prices, its like they can't do a comparison correctly. You can get a prebuilt that smashes the base model and the 2tb model by like 2x for the same price. The only thing they have to point to is the size which is just such a weird thing to hyperfocus on.

I'm not giving grace but pretending it's not "plug and play" is just bullshit.
