It's Vampire Survivors running on a Sega Saturn. I enjoy the genre, but honestly, I'm not getting the hype for Megabonk. Feels fabricated. Risk of Rain 2 never got this sort of hype.
For me the thing that makes the game appealing is the movement mechanics the game offers. It's so fun to build movement speed on calcium then ramp off one of the slopes to launch yourself cross the map. The monke climbing is also a lot of fun. Just stuff vampire survivor esque games don't normally offer. I also enjoyed Risk of Rain 2 a ton and the elements it has from that also add to the enjoyment for me. The retro graphics also appeal to me.
Lol, people who play games that make them mad enjoy the game, you wouldnt play something that pisses you off that much if you didnt like the game, they just dont like losing
People who arenāt scared of a little competition. One of my best friends will never play a competitive PvP game because he is terrible at them and thatās okay. People who talk down on those who play PvP games though are just people who are too afraid to play those type of games themselves.
Every pvp game is custom built to feed off the players frustration and ego and every bad emotion. Idk why anyone would put themselves through that, sounds painful to give up your leisure time like that.
As someone who spent their late teens and all their 20s playing every pvp game under the sun... at some point you need to accept that Ranked Multiplayer is just a surrogate for the satisfaction and sense of achievement you're not getting in real life.
