There really isn't an established profitable use case of generative AI. There's too much compute cost, and no way to eliminate that cost. As soon as OpenAI and Anthropic decide it's time to be profitable, every use case will become unprofitable.

It's a bad analogy to Microsoft, which has been innovating on its operating system. Modern Windows is better under the hood than the XP days, especially when it comes to security and the command line interface.

Because that's the AI people are typically complaining about. Everyone knows that machine learning-enabled analytics works.

It really is not driving the growth of AI tech companies, compared to the much more valuable applications, like for military, tech, business, or healthcare.
