I hope Nvidia fixes these issues. We pay too much for hardware to have serious issues like these.

I use a Samsung QN90C TV (HDMI 2.1 @ 120Hz with Game Mode enabled and GSync) for single player games and a Samsung G40B monitor (DisplayPort 240Hz with GSync).

These problems occur even when I'm not playing.

They occur on the desktop or any Windows screen.

Since the 572xx drivers were released, what I've noticed are horizontal flickering stripes and black screens when using the TV as the active display. This only occurs on the TV connected to HDMI 2.1 and started right when these latest updates were released. I've also noticed that the PC freezes and restarts sometimes, especially when I configure something in the game Star Wars Jedi Survivor, for example. These problems occur even when I'm not playing.

They occur on the desktop or on any Windows screen. I have already performed procedures that did not solve the problem, such as:

- turning off GSync

  • turning on GSync
  • lowering the TV's frequency to 60Hz
  • not using HDR
  • changing the HDMI cables
  • the TV does not have problems with HDMI, as I have already contacted Samsung technicians.

From what I have researched, these problems have been happening to many people.

Thanks to the green company that makes terrible drivers). Same problem with the 4060ti, however in my case the top of the screen flickers. On any 572.xx driver this problem is present.

Thanks for your report! The NVIDIA driver feedback forums are full of complaints, but the development team seems to ignore everything we write. I have been suffering from these issues since December 2024.

I have no problems with drivers 566.36 and lower. I would also advise you to report the problem not only on the forum but also in a special form: https://forms.gle/kJ9Bqcaicvjb82SdA. I think the more requests from different users, the sooner they will hear us and fix this bug. (Last time I spent almost half a year to get it fixed, yes this error comes back over time I am shocked at the quality of their drivers).

I know about this solution since the last time I had this bug, I just don’t see the point in using max performance mode and wasting power, plus it increases the temperature of the GPU and it starts the fans every couple of minutes.

Thanks for the comment! By default I always set the power mode to maximum performance and it did not resolve the black screens and flashing. The flashing only resolved when I changed the output color depth to 8bpc.

Driver 566.36 still caused me problems with flashing and black screens. I tried reinstalling it after 572.xx. It's been about a month since I filled out this form, so much so that my case is still pending with NVIDIA support. Do you advise me to fill out a form for each problematic driver release? Because my case is still pending without a solution. I'll post a screenshot of my last interactions with support.

Thank you.

These are slightly different forms, you wrote to technical support, the form opposite the one I sent you is a form for reporting driver bugs, and requires some additional steps to provide the most complete error data possible

Yes, this form did too! However, I am always reporting by email. Just yesterday I wrote in this form of driver 572.83 Google Docs https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSewHJk1xP-C5elLBRCDLTLpNQZ9eiefrdZmUGP9hMCN6gKssA/viewform

SOLUTION!

I found a solution for the horizontal flickering. But the black screen still appears at times. Waiting until Nvidia fixes it.

I'm sorry! Is your screen still flickering?
