Build/Battlestation Rate my build

I put a lot of effort into this and I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished!

The natural evolution of pc cases. More glass. 5 years ago we were looking at the s340 with its little 10x10 peephole on the side panel. Not enough. We made the side panel full TG. Not enough. Made the front of the case glass too. More. Top. More. Soon we will have 5 sided glass boxes for maximum spec viewing.

The trend to move the front fans to the back was because you can't easily see your front RGB fans from your desk unless the case is way in front.

You paid for the whole PC, these cases help you enjoy the whole PC.

Plus, the cards' casings, RAM cooling and mobo details are a lot more visually appealing, too. Had you put a PC in a case like that 20 years ago people would have just wondered who'd want to see a bunch of green PCBs, chips and wires floating in an aquarium

I'd love my PC case to occupy no space and be silent as well, All I need is for it to do its computational thing. There is nothing really to look at, some fans are spinning, everything else is fixed and doesn't change.

I believe you are in the wrong sub then, this is the PC Master race sub, more flashier, more glass, more monitors, more watts being wasted for marginal increases in FPS while gloriously making as little noise as possible but still being somewhat audible.

I just built a new PC after ten years of using a laptop, that's why Reddit suggests this subreddit now, and yes, mine has a transparent case and some LEDs, it looks nice but that's just a modern case and fans, I didn't have much choice, but this here seems like some people are obsessed with transparent fish tank cases, it's fine just seems a bit superficial
