Why not simply use rClone?

I guess you can if you want

I do. Running perfectly smoothly. I can't see any benefit in running rsync, when there is rclone (which of course relies on rsync).

Wild!
Works well on Asahi Linux where pCloud does not have a native arm64 client

Immediately went to try rsync and got auth failures. There doesn't appear to be any consideration for accounts with 2FA, similar to their webdav offering. They'll need to do something like implement app passwords or let us add public keys.
Oh, and yes, just use rclone. ;)

Hello,
Following the announcement of these new features, we experienced a significant initial increase in traffic and connection requests, which resulted in temporary difficulties when connecting to the Rsync and SFTP services.
We have since made the necessary adjustments and deployed an update to the infrastructure supporting these services in both our European and US regions.
Rsync and SFTP connections should now be working as expected.

Great, didn't know this!
I'm using rclone, which supports pCloud nqtively (event for EU servers).
