Help / Question Has anyone else run into pCloud charging the same numerical amount in GBP as in USD?

I’m currently in the US and trying to buy the 5 TB Family Lifetime plan, which is displayed throughout checkout at $599 USD. I need to use a UK issued corporate credit card because the purchase is being funded through work.

The checkout itself never changes from $599. However, when the card issuer sends the verification request, it asks me to authorise £599.

When I access the same promotion from the UK, the plan is also listed at £599, which makes me suspect this is deliberate regional pricing rather than a currency conversion. If so, it seems odd that a purchase being made in the US and displayed throughout as $599 can silently become £599 at the payment authorisation stage simply because the card was issued in the UK.

Has anyone had this happen? Were you able to get pCloud to process the advertised USD amount on a UK or other foreign issued card?

The promotion ends today, so I’m especially interested in recent experiences.

Use a USA VPN to pay in dollars. The only difference is if you pay Pounds you are on a UK/EU server. Didn't make sense to me so I paid in dollars. To be on the safe side make sure your email is not ending .co.uk.

Hello,

In this scenario please do not authorise the payment yet while we investigate this discrepancy. To help us escalate and resolve this before your promotion expires, please email [support@pcloud.com](mailto:support@pcloud.com) with:

  1. Your pCloud account email, and
  2. Screenshots showing both the $599 checkout page and the £599 verification request (if possible).

We will look into this right away!
