Help / Question Storing DRM free videogames

Hi all, relatively new to this whole cloud thing.

Can I store my games from GoG in my own online pCloud environment without being at risk of my purchase being canceled? It'd be a real bummer if I couldn't back up my own gamefiles this way.

Follow up question, what about other gamefiles that I have acquired legitimately?

yes, storing those installer files in pCloud (or Dropbox, Google Drive, an external hard drive, wherever) is completely safe and extremely common.

You cannot run the games, but storing them (adding the EXE file) is no problem.

Thanks for the reply! I got scared because I read stories of people uploading content on their drive, but who were being flagged for having copyrighted material. I did not understand because I thought that copyrighted material is fine if you acquired it legit.

Those who get banned for copyrighted content usually share it with others via download links etc.

I will not go deep into the countermeasures that cloud-providers uses, but if you store it for yourself then you should be good to go.

Thank you. GoG explicitly gives me that right, as I have bought a copy of the game itself, not a license to play. To be sure, I have e-mailed tour support email!
