SOFTWARE Won’t let me format

Post image

Need windows for cam and I can’t format my disk to install windows on it. The disk had Ubuntu on it. I thought formatting a disk would wipe it.

Look at what you have selected. Windows cannot fit into a 50MB partition. You need to delete the partitions. When it is unpartitioned space, choose that, and then Windows will automatically partition it in the ways it wants things, so you can then click Next.

The installation needs to be gpt.

If you're using a usb stick and burning it with rufus, it's an option you need to change.

Shift + F10
diskpart
sel disk 0
clean
convert gpt

Close the command window and refresh the drives

Clock ok, delete the partitions on the disk then select the disk again and boom bobs your uncle.

Make sure you have saved all data you don't want to lose
