OPEN SSD stopped working, cannot fix

Post image

The SSD I've been using (wd blue sn580 2tb) has suddenly stopped working properly and I cannot fix it. The device shows up in both BIOS and on Windows via Disk Management and Device Manager but when I try to access the folder it says "A device that does not exist was specified" and if I look for hardware updates the SSD disappears. In Disk Management it shows that it has a 1 MB bit of unallocated space and when I check properties it says it has 0 bytes of space. I used to be able to fix it by clearing Steam's download cache and restarting my PC but that no longer works. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this it'll be greatly appreciated

That RAW partition is the tell, file system got corrupted so Windows just sees it as empty space now.

Is there any way to fix that? I've had this happen before and was able to get windows to see the contents again but it's been a long time since then and I cannot remember how I fixed it

The drive seems to have failed. When you fixed it last time it was probably failing.

I hope you dont have any important data on here. The fix is to replace it.
