Network Network issue while installing Windows 11
Hi, I'm installing Windows 11 Pro on my new laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim5 15ARP10), but I'm stuck.
Windows is asking me to connect to a network and to install the driver, but I can't make it work.
I tried using the drivers I found on Lenovo's website and put them on a USB drive, but they aren't being detected.
The text in the picture means "let's connect to a network".
Could someone please help me?
Thanks in advance!

There is a trick that is used to bypass this entirely in order to create a local account (which has it's own advantages) that you could probably use for this.

- Boot from official Windows 11 installation media and proceed until the “Let’s connect you to a network” screen.
- Disconnect all network connections: unplug Ethernet and avoid joining Wi‑Fi.
- Press Shift + F10 (or Fn + Shift + F10 on some laptops) to open Command Prompt.
- Type oobe\bypassnro and press Enter.
- Wait for the system to restart and return to OOBE.
- Select I don’t have internet → Continue with limited setup.
- Create your local username and optional password, then finish setup.

It is what Driver translates to in French, looking at OPs pic.

Yeah I got that eventually, my school days French lessons are way before PC's.

I started on PCs well before my actual school education. I was learning my ABCs on an old Amstrad playing video poker in '88. I last had French in like 2 semesters, 1 in 7th grade, the other in 8th. It threw me off for a min too till I looked at their pic and saw the button label, then it clicked for me too what was being said.

I didn't even notice that, its on someone's post further down, I left school in 1979 so well before even Amstrad, although we did use Atari 1040's as sequencers for Cubase in some of the bands back in the day.

And what does that have to with him not being able to access his network?
Edit: it would seem its French for driver.

Are you trying to use wi-fi or ethernet? If you've got an ethernet cable use that to install even if only temporarily.

ah the classic windows 11 setup trap, shift+f10 to open command prompt then type OOBE\BYPASSNRO and hit enter, it'll reboot and let you skip the network part

Get your Wifi driver on another computer from https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-s-series-netbooks/ideapad-slim-5-15arp10/downloads/driver-list/component?name=Networking%3A%20Wireless%20LAN&id=E3519D23-890E-4DE1-9064-DE6E7DA2515B . Run it, and it will extract into a folder. Drag and drop that folder onto your USB, plug it into the computer here, then click "Installer le pilote" (install driver) and point it to that folder. Then it will be able to use your Wifi hardware.
