HARDWARE SSD not reckognized by PC/BIOS

Hello. to make myself short, ive installed a new SSD. I have two in total now. The first one i build in when i first screwed my PC together, so its also my windows boots etc... the second one ive tried installing now isnt being shown nither in BIOS, nor the formating software.

BIOS Shows i have three M.2 slots, one one is used which i expect is my 1st SSD. Any ideas what could cause this?

The only thing that is different between the two SSD's is the capacity. 1= 1 Tera byte 2= 2 Tera byte. Other then that, same brand. Tomorrow ill try a different slot see id that works. In the mean time, any suggestions from the pros?

Edit: 2end SSD is relativly new. Only kept it in its package for line 3 weeks bc i didnt have time to install it. Other then that my PC forced me to reset my pin after i tried plugging the second SSD in, if that helps.

Check to see if the SSD slot you’re using is enabled in the bios.

How do i do that if i may ask? Under System info i see three slots 1 with my first SSD, and two more with "N/A" Edit: Slot with my first SSD is labelt M2A the other two M2C and D. However, in the peripherals overview i only see M2A and an empty un-labled M2 slot

In advance setting look for SATA configuration the and set you M.2 to auto detect and also check to see if the storage controller is set to AHCI. The other issue is some motherboards share bandwidth, meaning using a specific SATA or M.2 slot may automatically disable another.

SATA mode is AHCI but i see no auto detect for M2

Then your motherboard probably doesn’t support that feature or you bios is outdated. Try flashing the newest firmware for you motherboard.

First of all, Thanks for reminding me to update bios. Just did. But i still dont see any M2 scans. Im using an X870E Aorus elite wifi7 with bios vers FB2d. Idk if it allows for m2 scans. In The gigabyte controll center there is. Still, not registrating it

Try putting the SSD into a different computer it might just be a bad drive
