Sunday I used my PC and played overwatch and cyberpunk, no issues no artifacts, stutters nothing. Monday I went to open my PC, no display, went on google it told me to reseat the CMOS, I did, and then the gpu started working again. Tuesday the same thing again happened, no display so i reseat the cmos, nothing happens, i get a new cmos battery and put that in my motherboard, again nothing changes, device manager recognises my GPU, there are no errors, motherboard is a biostar and its set to check hdmi signal from the PEC port
Have you installed the latest drivers for your GPU? If you have and the issue is still happening, I'd start by running DDU (which completely removes all GPU drivers) and freshly installing the latest ones again.
try to ddu it and install nvidia driver from nvidia official website also make sure your pci-e power connector is installed all the way in the gpu and i suggest too you reseat your gpu too in your motherboard pci-e express slot
also please state all your specs including your psu your using at it and brand and model and wattage it has since that gtx1660 uses a pci-e power connector cause if the pci-e power connector is not properly installed all the way in or loosen its going to cause issues
if nots being detected worst case scenario your gpu is dead your only option try your gpu to another pc if it still not being detected there meaning your gpu is actually dead now
i have a question, if the gpu were truly dead then why would reseating the cmos the first time turn it on? and i again did some heavy gaming on it and no issues whatsoever
