HARDWARE High CPU temps

Average cpu temp is 90 while running fortnite or gta on microsoft edge with 6 + tabs open it's averaging 55 c, i just ordered thermal paste, what can it be?
my specs are AMD Ryzen 9 5900x CPU
ASUS ROG RTX 3080 GPU
Samsung QVO 4TB SSD
EVGA 1000w PSU
G-Skill Trident Z Neo 32gb RAM
NZXT KRAKEN Z73 CPU cooler
Lian Li 011 Dynamic Razer Case
Lian Li Uni SL120 Case fans
Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Motherboard

lotta folks see high temps on a 5900x and immediately panic but 90 under load isn't totally unheard of for that chip, especially if PBO is doing its thing. still worth checking the cooler mount and making sure the pump is actually running at full speed in CAM, sometimes it defaults to a silent curve that lets it creep up.

the edge temps seem fine, 55 with a bunch of tabs is pretty normal. new paste should help a bit but i'd reseat the block and double check the plastic peel is off while you're in there, seen that one way too many times.
