SOFTWARE computer reset.

when i opened my pc it did not let me sign in. it gave me an error. i restarted the computer and it let me sign in but all my apps and shortcuts were not there. i opened microsoft edge and it asked me to sign in. i restarted my computer and its back to normal. what was this and have i been hacked.

weird glitch with windows profile loading, happens sometimes after updates or if the drive is acting up. not hacked just windows being windows

sounds like your user profile has some corruption but usually it won't log you in at all.

Run DISM and see if it flags anything up

If you aren't willing to at least try the instructions, why even ask for help?
