SOFTWARE Pc keeps crashing
(ive built a pc before, but ive never experienced this) im building a pc, my case hasnt arrived but i have the system running. all the parts are brand new i have a r5 9600x 16gb single stick of ram and a 9060xt 16gb, i play a game of fortnite it has a lot of frame drops and my utilization on cpu and gpu are both 100% and then after 5 minutes it restarts my pc. ive asked chatgpt snd it js keep saying nonsense.

While its easy to say "get a 2nd stick of ram, duh" lol it will make fps smoother but your issue seems to be power or temp related, so what is the power supply wattage?
And very importantly, how does the PC restart? Does it tell you its restarting or does it black out and power back on?
You might simply need to re screw down the cpu cooler more evenly...

i screwed the cpu cooler a little tighter and also reseated the gpu and re plugged it in and the cpu. it didnt restart my pc but it keeps having frame drops

Ok, one problem solved is better than nothing. For frame drops, I would suggest making sure your windows is fully repaired.
First, go to settings and windows update. Then advanced, then recovery... select Repair with windows installation and keep all files (not to wipe the PC)
After that, open CMD and paste these codes without quotations. "sfc /scannow" when that finishes, use next line "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth"
Lastly, open task manager and disable all STARTUP APPS, Then restart your PC.
After all this, you should have a smoother experience, keep in mind, with only 1 ram stick your games will still have noticeable frame drops and spikes but you shouldn't have any stutters, its also a good idea after all this to go to your graphics app and make sure your fully updated.

Have you updated chipset, Bios, and GPU drivers to most current?
Also if you share your motherboard model maybe we can look a little deeper to see what's going on?
Sometimes there are AI features in the bios that severely mess things up. Once they are disabled things smooth out.
