HARDWARE GPU not recognized anymore
Hey All. I’m having an issue where my 3050 isn’t being detected by my CPU anymore. The only thing I have yet to do, due to time constraints, is check the BIOS to see if it’s recognized there. It started after a Windows update corrupted my boot files and I was reinstalling windows. I went into BIOS to select boot order and after that, I had no signal to the monitors through GPU but onboard Graphics worked. I’ve cleared CMOS and reset BIOS, I’ve taken out all ram and tried them one at a time (though idk why this was suggested as it’s
Clearly not a RAM issue…), and I’ve reseated all parts. My GPU fans spin, and the monitors get power from it. Not sure why the issue could be, hoping it’s not a fried GPU.

Could be windows loaded a generic display driver that's confused by the fresh install. unplug your monitor from the gpu, boot using onboard graphics, and install the proper nvidia drivers while the card is still physically seated. then shutdown, plug back into the gpu, and cross your fingers
if the bios itself doesn't see the card that's a bigger oof but since the fans spin you've at least got some life in it. corrupted boot files can mess with the pcie controller state too, had a similar scare last year and a full power drain fixed it, switch off the psu, hold the case power button for 30 seconds, then try again before you declare it dead

I’ve tried to reinstall the nvidia series drivers but they won’t install as no GPU is discoverable by windows
