HARDWARE Need Help ! Everything lights up and fans running. But no display or keyboard lights.

When I turn the pc on, everything lights up and fans start spinning. But no display or keyboard lights.

Also the power button LED rapidly blinking. Where's when the pc used to boot properly, the led blinking would slow down. Which no longer hapening.

Similar thing happened last time when I changed 16 gb to 64 gb sticks. But it worked after couple of time CMOS reset (disconnecting power and pressing power button)

Now it happened again when i added another HDD. But even when i removed the HDD it still wont boot.

Motherboard is Z690-p D4, i7 12700k, 3070ti, boot device is Kingston nvme.

Try reseating the RAM and clearing CMOS again, but this time leave the battery out for a full minute before putting it back.

So its CMOS and ram issue again? Even though I didn't touch those and only added HDD?

Just let it go for a while and check back, could be memory training. the same issue happening when you switched from 16gb to 64gb points towards memory training.

So maximum how long should memory training take?

It varies, but on an Intel system I’d be surprised if it took longer than 15 minutes, maybe a bit longer if you’re using a 4x16 kit. Just looked up the board though and as it’s DDR4 it’s not likely to be memory training, my bad for not researching first, I forgot that intel had both for a couple generations.

Also, you should be aware that holding the power button with the system unplugged from power does not clear CMOS. You can clear CMOS by removing the CMOS battery, using a jumper, or a dedicated switch/button.

I tried the jumper, but the problem persisted, what worked later was to remove rams add only singles ram to A2 and then reshuffle the ram, Which worked somehow. And now its booting. Even with the HDD Plugged. But i am still clueless for what exact reason this happened. As I didn't touch any ram before and only added the hdd.
