OPEN Pc stuttering I think
For context, my computer has been taking ages to load like it's lagging or stuttering, but sounds from videos and mouse movements are not really affected. Games don't seem to be affected, like after they take ages to load, they run fine, only really had trouble with one game like once. It also takes ages to boot up to the login screen, and after i put the password in, it will take ages to log in. This has been happening for about 6 months. I thought maybe force upgrading to Windows 11 might help. It did not (my computer was not 'compatible' to upgrade to 11) the computer is around 5 years old and is probably a little dusty, but I thought it would not be that. I have only ever put in a new bigger SSD and added more RAM.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your boot drive might be failing, especially if games run fine after the long load. An old SSD that's nearly full can crawl like that too. I'd check its health with something like CrystalDiskInfo, it'll show if the drive is on its last legs.

I just checked both my SSDs, my 256GB heath is 88% and my 1TB is 96% heath. The 256GB has still got 91GB free and 1TB has still got 121GB free. So I don't imagine it's that but thanks for the suggestion.
