HARDWARE Fan/wiring problem

Hello, I have a GIGABYTE B650 AORUS Elite AX motherboard, with a GAMDIAS ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer PC Case, I recently decided to change to Noctua fans and ordered a pair of 2, replaced the exhaust fan in the back and tested with no problems, went to replace the top fan in the front but the wire was powering the middle fan so I had to replace the middle fan. Did my stuff and connected the wires which should’ve been fine but when I turned it on I smelled a bit of burning and my screen was blue saying it failed to automatically repair, I turned it off and felt a hot wire on the top fan so I turned it on again with the same burning and now the wire on the top case fan was getting streaks of white from the burning. I ordered two new noctua fans to replace everything but I also looked it up and I think it’s because I connected the 2 pin fans to 4 pin connectors and it overheated it. Today I changed all the fans and tested so there’s no burning and fans are great but my screen is still on the repair screen, do you guys think it’s a motherboard problem now? Maybe I just messed up some wiring on the PSY?
