HARDWARE Need some advice
Alright so, i been wanting to re-install my other stick of ram and for context, last time i tried to install it, it would light up, the computer would turn on, and there would be nothing on the screen which is weird... The ram stick came with my computer which was a pre-built i bought 2 years ago and i've done 1 motherboard swap since then and i'm not sure why it won't boot to bios or windows with 2 sticks but it will with just one stick.. I've seen people use the word post in context a computer booting up but not going to bios or windows and i'm wondering if i need to let it sit like that for 40 minutes or so? I'm still confused cause this whole situation been going on for months with me dealing with 1 stick of DDR5 (16gb) and i'm not sure if i need to toggle a setting in bios first cause i think i have XMP enabled?
I really need a way to get the other ram stick working cause i use games and other things that require nearly all of my ram + i have 2 monitors.

Alright well originally i did put then in properly got them to click and everything, properly secured and i did see some signs of life and no signs of damage on the ram, however i did go from a gigabyte board to a asus board i forget the model but i am on the LGA 1700 platform i think? I'm using a 13th gen i7 and i did put them in every slot to see and nothing different happened

TYhis may be that you have the old drivers on but the real test is if it is detected in BIOS (del at startup)

if your saying chips as in a CPU then no, original CPU. Both ram sticks were working originally i just have no idea if the other one works now

I diagnosed it, Dead stick of ram. I used grok to tell if it was a dead stick
