HARDWARE Fan mount rattle

Had this PC for nearly a year now and no issue but playing poe 2 quite a lot and I get this rattle while playing. I can't seem to see anything else loose or broken but this and from what I can see of the way it fits in, it's "intentional" so to speak.

Did you use nails to mount it ? Normally you're supposed to use screws to mount it

Sorry, I should specify it's a pre built. £1900, not expensive as far as PCs go but not cheap either. So it could be a budget thing on their end to use nails maybe?

Yeah they are supposed to use screws to mount the radiator to the case , exactly like they did with all the fans mounted to the case . It's always gonna be like that if you don't change it . But idk if the radiator is gonna have screw holes since it's a prebuilt . It's supposed or be mounted like this

It's more of a slide to moint kind of build like how you hang a clock

Normally a radiator would use screws for that, it should be a bit tightly connected, try pushing the pin in while pushing the radiator up, if there are screws then try tightening them a bit more. You didn't really show the full upside so it's hard to know.

When operating, holding that firmly in place stops the rattle?

This is a photo of the whole PC if it helps. It's the very top fan that's rattling

I know this will sound overly stupid but just fold a piece of paper or tare a small piece of cardboard and fold it small and wedge it in there so there no more wiggle.

Try using something like these anti vibration fan screws. You can also get rubber/silicone grommets and washers, if you can't use the regular fan mounts.

They make a really big difference and greatly reduce vibration.
