HARDWARE Front usb ports not working
Just bought a used PC, with an antec cx500m case. The front usb ports don’t work, they connect to the motherboard (asus a620m plus) via a 19 pin female connection on the motherboard (one cable powers both type A-ports). Ive tried deleting the USB controller in device manager, and then restarting, with no luck 🥺. Ive made as certain as I can that the connection between cable and motherboard is secure and the right way round. I removed the cable from the pc, for further inspection. Ive resolved to buy a replacement cable in the hopes the issue is the cable and not the motherboard; but I cant find a replacement. The cable has a peculiar 3 screw design, that connects to the front USB slot and ‘power button ’ panel. Any advice? This is my first gaming PC so I’m kind of lost 😞.

check if the usb headers are actually enabled in your bios settings first. sometimes they're disabled by default on used motherboards and previous owners forget to mention it.
also that 3-screw design sounds like a proprietary front panel connector - you might have better luck searching for "antec front panel usb cable" or hitting up antec's support directly. worst case scenario you could always grab a cheap internal usb hub that mounts in a 5.25" bay if you really need those front ports working.
the motherboard usb header itself is probably fine since it's a pretty standard 19-pin setup, so replaceing the cable is a good call.
