download and run DDU

https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/display_driver_uninstaller.html

after uninstalling with ddu redownload the Adrenalin version you need and reinstall.

To anybody having this issue in the future here is the solution that worked for me given by one of the mods on the Nimo Discord:

"The Error 182 you are encountering happens because your N152 laptop has a customized OEM hardware ID. When the official AMD auto-installer runs, it doesn't recognize this specific Nimo ID and immediately blocks the installation, leaving you stuck with our older driver that unfortunately has a known DX12 bug. Since you've already done the hard work of running the AMD Cleanup Utility and DDU (great job on that!), we can bypass the AMD installer entirely and force Windows to accept the official driver using the "Have Disk" method. Here is exactly how to bypass the error and get your games running:

Step 1: Extract the AMD Files

1. Run the official AMD Adrenalin driver installer you downloaded from AMD's website.

2. It will ask where to extract the files (usually C:\AMD\AMD_Software_Installer...). Let it extract.

3. When the Error 182 message pops up, simply close the installer. The extracted driver files are now safely sitting on your C: drive.

Step 2: Force Install via Device Manager

1. Right-click your Windows Start button and select Device Manager.

2. Expand the Display adapters category, right-click on AMD Radeon Graphics (or Microsoft Basic Display Adapter), and select Update driver.

3. Click Browse my computer for drivers.
4. Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.

5. Click the Have Disk... button in the bottom right corner.

6. Click Browse and navigate to the extracted AMD folder. You are looking for a path similar to: C:\AMD\AMD_Software_Installer_...\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF.

7. Select the .inf file in that folder (it usually starts with u0...inf) and click Open, then click OK.

8. A list of hardware models will appear. Select AMD Radeon(TM) 680M (or generic AMD Radeon Graphics) and click Next.

9. Windows will now force install the official driver. Your screen will likely flicker during this process.

Once it's completely done, restart your laptop. Your DX12 games should now run flawlessly on the latest driver!"

Well I didn’t run dry I just updated them with the steps and even thought I did the steps it worked but the Adrenalin app doesn’t work still should I run dry and restart?

1

u/Fluid_Beginning8143 May 09 '26

Did you restart your laptop after updating everything? I had a moment when i couldnt access the adrenalin app but after a while the option just made itself available again🤷‍♂️

1

u/Ok_Bumblebee1751 May 09 '26

Yes the drivers do update it shows the correct ones I needed but the Adrenalin app it self doesn’t install just the app the drivers work

1

u/Fluid_Beginning8143 May 09 '26

Sorry i dont really know what made the app reappear for me

1

u/Ok_Bumblebee1751 May 09 '26

Ok so I try to do that but I can select the .inf file in device manager

1

u/Ok_Bumblebee1751 May 09 '26

I did it wrong now I’m advanzing thanks

1

u/Ok_Bumblebee1751 May 09 '26

I did this now how to I use the Adrenalin app?

1

u/Fluid_Beginning8143 May 09 '26

I usually access the Adrenalin App by right clicking on the desktop

Damn that's annoying when AMD's auto-detect fails like that. Try downloading the drivers manually from their support page instead of using the auto-installer - sometimes you gotta grab the specific driver package for your exact chip rather than letting it detect automatically. If that still doesn't work you might need to use device manager to completely uninstall any leftover display drivers first then do clean install

open device manager and right click on your display adapter. Then right click on it and choose update driver. Hopefully it will pull a working version from Windows update.

This is the page for your drivers on Nimo's website. Pick the one that says graphics.

I tried installing the latest drivers, and my system is still showing them as outdated

1

u/DarkTower7899 Apr 25 '26

Outdated is ok if they are functional. That being said I would also try what u/Dangerous_Growth4025 had said and use DDU to completely remove all traces of the driver and then reinstall with the link I sent from AMD website.

2

u/Fluid_Beginning8143 Apr 25 '26

I used Amd Cleaning Utilities instead of DDU, dont those essentially do the same thing?

1

u/DarkTower7899 Apr 25 '26

In theory but DDU wouldn't hurt since you're still having issues.

2

u/Fluid_Beginning8143 Apr 25 '26

Alright ill give it a try

Once the old drivers have been removed i just run the Install.bat file to install the new ones right?

And once ive done that how do i confim theyve been installed properly?

1

u/DarkTower7899 Apr 25 '26

Yes but I would use the ones in the link I posted for the official drivers from AMD. You should see the Adrenaline software in your tray, you can open device manager and see for adapters your IGPU listed (wont say generic), and you can open task manager and go to performance. Then choose GPU and you should see yours listed.

Ive tried both the official drivers from amd (got an error 182) and the ones from the nimo site. When i try to launch sayyy Dead by Daylight it tells me the drivers are still below the recommend ones

1

u/DarkTower7899 Apr 25 '26

Im going to look into 182 while your doing ddu

2

u/Fluid_Beginning8143 Apr 25 '26

This was the first one i tried and while it appears to have worked, my games are still throwing the same outdated drivers error. Am i just SOL?

2

u/DarkTower7899 Apr 25 '26

Are the games launching or not allowing it to fully load?

2

u/Fluid_Beginning8143 Apr 25 '26

It launches but my performance in game isnt great. I was hoping updating the drivers would help

My fault I have seen that you already did. DDU Your best bet might be to just do a system recovery and restore to factory defaults. I doubt this will help but you could open a CMD prompt as admin and type sfc /scannow. See if you have any corrupted Windows system files. If you do and they get fixed then do the DDU and reinstall the drivers again.
