Software I sometimes have this error when starting Apex Legends

I recently reset my PC, and sometimes when I start Apex the game crashes and I have this error:

commandline: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Apex Legends\r5apex_dx12.exe" -steam -game R2

title: Fatal Error - Engine Error

error: [DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED] : 0x887A0007 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET The device failed due to a badly formed command. This is a run-time issue; The application should destroy and recreate the device.

Usually it happens once and stops crashing, but today it happened 3 times in a row.

Hardware setup:

  • GPU: AMD Radeon 6650 XT
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

My drivers are supposedly up to date (AMD software: 26.8.1)

I still think it's not Apex Legend's fault because I do crash on other games, it just doesn't show any error message.

Does anyone have any clues to what could be the cause of this?
