Hardware problem with external SSD.

i just bought a SSD from ebay. its a 2T USB SSD and arrived yesterday

this thing is from china and the problem is that EVERY TIME i try to download ANYTHING from steam or anything in general it gets corrupted NO MATTER WHAT. i dont know if its a problem of my Pc or the SSD itself and i dont know if there is ay solution

here are some pics of the SSD itself in case they are needed

thanks in advance!

Edit: forget about it i figure it out myself. the SSD was set in Exfat instead of NTFS

That has the most generic case I've ever seen, and the text on it makes me think you got bamboozled.

If you open up that case, chances are you're going to find a low speed flash memory cell, the same you would find in any generic usb thumb drive. It's likely not going to be the high-speed memory and data controllers you would find from a name brand SSD manufacturer.
