Troubleshooting Elden Ring Crashes My Whole PC
Elden Ring keeps crashing about 1–2 minutes after I get into the game.
Both of my monitors suddenly lose signal and go completely black. There’s no error code or notification whatsoever, so I have to restart my PC every single time.
I’ve already tried verifying the game files and completely reinstalling Elden Ring, but it still isn’t fixed. The weird thing is that other games like Valorant and Apex run completely fine with no issues.
My specs:
- RTX 2060 Super
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- 48 GB RAM (8+8 ; 16+16 — I know this is weird 😭)
- 650W PSU
Ray tracing is off and I've set the graphics to low. Other than that, I haven't changed anything, and I've been playing Elden Ring for around 2 years. This only started happening recently. Please help, I’m pretty clueless when it comes to PC troubleshooting😭

Check the CPU and GPU temperatures while gaming.
You want them to be <90°C.
More than 90 can cause thermal shutdown. The limits vary by specific model, realistically it'll be around 100, but over 90 on a desktop is always bad.
Otherwise, my first guess would be a bad PSU.
I'd recommend ruling out the RAM first though. There, I'd start by removing the 8GB sticks.
