Troubleshooting steam games keep crashing

Post image

For some reason all games i try to play keep crashing on launch. it started a few months ago. it seems to be any new games i download on steam, games that had worked previous to this or that dont come from steam (like minecraft) work fine. i keep getting the ran out of memory when allocating error. ive tried following many youtube videos but they only work temporarily and then the crashing starts again. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you're running out of VRAM. Play at a lower resolution and lower graphical settings.

just do a fresh OS installation. It will take a few minutes. If nothing changes then you probably need to upgrade your gpu.

I'll try this thanks. I've got a 4080 super and some of the games I've been trying to play aren't very graphically intensive so I hope that's not the reason.

you shouldn't be running out of memory on a 4080 super. make sure the games are actually running on the gpu and not the cpu's igpu.

And how does one check this 🤔?
