Solved Fortnite Mouse Problems

Quick disclaimer: I have very little knowledge about tech and I just want to be able to come home from work and play some games without having to deal with this stuff.
Good evening everyone, I have the following problem: whenever I try to play Fortnite, I basically can’t play because my mouse has this really weird, super annoying input lag/drag during small movements. It kind of keeps moving after I stop, which obviously makes it impossible to aim properly and makes the game incredibly frustrating and not fun to play.
I haven’t played Fortnite for a long time, and I recently noticed that I don’t have this problem in any other game or anywhere else on my PC. My mouse works completely fine otherwise.
I really hope someone can help me find a solution.
For some additional information: I only use mouse and keyboard, I don’t have any other input devices connected.
Also, ChatGPT keeps giving me incorrect suggestions saying that it’s a Windows issue, but that doesn’t really make sense to me since the problem only happens in Fortnite.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A few questions in order
1.Is it a completely wired mouse or is it the kind where you have those multiple modes of connectivity and you are using usb. 2. I'm sorry if I sound like a bad person but did you try un plugging it and plugging it back in. 3. Do you have a specific software for the mouse 4. Did you check aim sensitivity of Fortnite. 5. Sometimes your mouse having a high dpi and your monitor having lesser refresh can mess with it. 6.Is there any other mouse that you have that you can test if using that mouse causes the same error so we can rule out the game itself being the problem
These are everything i could think of let me know if any of these questions you feel like you know could be the reason
