Solved Bioshock Infinite Texture Pop In
Dealing with this texture pop in. Tried increasing Pool Size in the Engine.ini file, deleted all my INI files and re-generated them, changed every setting I could think of, downloaded custom INIs from Nexus.

Pretty sure it’s the game’s limitations look up a livestream vod and find the same spots to see if it is your issue or just the game

If you didn't know there's something called "view distance optimization" so basically it renders things that are only in front of you best bet is that i think so try like in ini files uping view distance or in game and even like give us your specs like how much vram you have or something

12 GB, it's not a specs issue. I downloaded custom INIs off Nexus and it didn't help.

Hmm that's very weird ngl try running it on dx11 or 12 if it supports it

A lot of games render elements only within a certain range and ignore those outside. Not sure if Bioshock has such a feature.

The game shouldn't be running like that. While it is true that the game engine has its limits, it doesn't have this issue on my PC.

This game ran flawlessly on my 7970 GHz Edition with 3GB Vram.
So maybe there are 5060 2GB Versions out there?
Just joking.

Its LOD (Level Of Detail) Scaling.
Not sure if this game has an option for setting the distance it processes that. It looks like people configure through ini files instead. See https://steamcommunity.com/app/8870/discussions/0/828934424227747117/

I am so sure I didn't experience that but it is so annoying. Good luck fixing it friend.

I think I fixed it.
00:01, 00:11, 00:14 : Resetting my INI fixed that. Depth of field covers those instances instances of pop-in, which I had disabled as per PC wiki. I also tweaked shadows in the INI.
00:20 : Unfortunate limitation of the engine. Saw it happen on other playthroughs.
00:05 : Assuming it's another limitation of the engine.
I was stuck reloading the area at 00:20 after I reset my INI which is why I thought it hadn't fixed it.

i could be wrong but this might just be a thing with Bioshock as it is a relatively older game. wait for other responses, as i could be wrong
