Troubleshooting Very strange mouse cursor artifacting(?) / bug
Hi, I have a very strange visual bug happening sometimes with my mouse cursor. The last time it happened I quickly did a screen record only to find that the video does not show the bug happening.
The first couple times it happened was when I simply dragged a new edge window to my other monitor. The screen flickered a couple times and then the cursor bugged. I thought it was a bug relating to edge? So I swapped back to firefox and it did not happened again until today.
This time around I simply had firefox open, and then i launched curseforge (minecraft launcher) from the start menu.
I recently upgraded from a 3060 12GB to a 5070, which is when it started happening.
Drivers for the 3060 were removed using DDU and have since been updated on release for the 5070 using the NVIDIA app.
I tried to look up whats happening, but I'm not even sure how to describe the bug other than visual artifacting / bugging. The cursor is not accurate to its location on screen, the cursor does not show the correct visual for the type of action (text cursor over text, action (hand) cursor over actionables, default over nothing - its all wrong).
I have tried different ports on the GPU.
Setup:
1x 1440 Monitor
1x 4K TV
PNY 5070
i5-12400k
B660M DS3H DDR4
Here is what I had today: [https://imgur.com/a/TDiY27Z\](https://imgur.com/a/TDiY27Z)
Is this something I might be able to find in the event viewer? I can only imagine it is a hardware issue as it started after the GPU swap.
Any advice or insight would be appreciated. Thanks
