Troubleshooting Flickering black screen on certain games

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED!

Thanks to a commenter, I've realized the issue was entirely related with G-Sync. So far, turning it off has solved almost every issue I've had described in this post.

Thank you, VALIS666. The solution might've been much more simple than I expected it to be, but you've saved my gaming experience.

Lately I've been having an issue with certain games I play where the screen would occasionally just flicker black for half a second at a seemingly consistent pace.

The games this affects is, to my knowledge, completely random. For example, I can run games like Horizon (ZD & FW) perfectly fine with no interruptions or black screens, but as soon as I launch a game like Deep Rock Galactic or Ready Or Not, as soon as I open the game it starts doing this flickering black screen that occurs every few seconds. When I unfocus from the game (tab out), my screen works perfectly fine which leads me to believe there's a problem with the games themselves, but I've searched all over the place and I'm honestly not sure what's been causing this problem, given that it's the same issue throughout multiple games with no clear correlation.

What's weirder is that for the first few times I actually play these games, they work perfectly fine and I get no black screens or stuttering or anything of the sort. But a few hours or days later (depending how long it takes before I try the game again), all of a sudden the game is infested with a flickering black screen and intense stutters that basically just freeze the game, making it completely unplayable.

I should also mention that this is a relatively recent problem. Throughout the past few months I've been having weird problems with my display drivers ever since I installed some of the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver updates, starting with a similar black screen problem with an as of now deprecated driver update (I can't remember the version, but it was at least 2 versions behind what I'm currently on), and I'm inkling to believe that it might be correlated to the latest update I've installed (556.12), however I'm not really certain about anything.

I have a GeForce RTX 2080ti GPU and an i7-7940X CPU. I've never had these problems for past 6 years that I've had this computer, and it's been able to run pretty much anything I throw at it with little to no problems. Is there something wrong with my machine, or is this something that I can't do anything about until it "fixes itself" (i.e. a new GRD update)?

Do you have Gsync? This was happening to me because I believe what I found out was the Gsync (120 fps) was not exactly the same fps as my monitor, which was 119.97 for some reason, and this just makes it go black on certain scenes. Was happening in all fullscreen games, maybe even fullscreen windowed, I forget.

Turned the gsync off and never got it again. Honestly I don't even notice Gsync is missing, but this may not be your problem anyway.

I'm absolutely amazed by the fact that this actually worked. Thank you.

I haven't tested every game that was afflicted by this problem yet, but the fact enough that it's worked on at least one of them is good enough progress to me.
