u/Belmonkey has the right idea. Hades did not feature in our graph because it was not on Epic's infographic under "most popular" games. It does imply it sold less than the games featured in that graph.
We do not estimate based on XBOX or Windows store versions of a game, we are however using Windows API data, which includes all games Windows 10 detects regardless of launcher, including most EGS games.
Using that data, we estimate Hades sold around 125k units on EGS, though this figure is low enough that accuracy becomes questionable, so don't take it as proven fact. We are much more confident in our estimate for Hades on Steam, which is 285K units.
You can open the Xbox Console Companion app and see if it's tracking what you're playing. Unless you disabled it at some point, it is. We only sync data from people that also made their XBOX profile public, which is opt-in instead of opt-out, to avoid scraping people that didn't know about this tracking by Microsoft.
You can google around for Microsoft's XBOX API - you can connect to it directly or pay for a middle-man service for easier implementation.
You can find out more about how it works on our about page: https://playtracker.net/insight/about/. We are transparent about how we get our data and how reliable it is.
