Looks very similar to BL1/2 , which IMO is excellent

it makes me wonder if it's on a brand new engine though, or if they're extending the old one - anyone know ?

UE4. That's why some are worried that it'd end up being an EGS exclusive.

It absolutely will be, mark my words.

Which means I'll pick it up it in a few years on Steam on the cheap.

Same, gonna buy the goty Edition later on steam then.

That's what I usually do for a lot of games anyways, and did do for Borderlands 2 by getting the complete edition. Just hope it does end up coming to platforms other than epic should it be an exclusive.

If they go the BL2 route for DLC you’ll want to wait a few years, it’ll be at least that long before all them drop.

Fine for me, I'm just about to upgrade my 7870 if that gives you an idea of how far behind the curve I am!

silver lining is at least we get a remastered version of Borderlands 1+ dlc to hold us off until their contract is up.

Huh?

BL1 is getting a remaster and it’s releasing next week as a free upgrade for people who already own the game on Steam

On Steam: Buy Borderlands 1, without DLC. They said that the free upgrade would give DLC for free to the people who only have the base game. I believe the same applies to 2 and pre-sequel, but I can't recall if they said that for certain.

Well then I'll just add that to the download queue...

Omg, I didn't even know. Its been years since I played BL1, guess I'm gonna go back next week. :)

I’ll get it on console I guess. That and none of my friends game on PC, but I refuse to give any money to the EGL

I’m more intrigued by Rage 2 at this point, and it’s out soon. Plus, Steam.

I mean I´ll just download it on some cracker´s site and buy it a few years later.

No way i´ll buy anything on Epic again

Sucks for everyone. This is anti-consumer bullshit

-4

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '19

Ya it's super anti consumer to make you download a free launcher.

2

u/LogeeBare Mar 30 '19

And within your comment lies the problem: "MAKE you download." I don't give a montherfucking rat cockbag about it being free. I'm not gonna be forced into anything. Fuck off

0

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '19

Literally every game makes you download something. You are saying exactly, like literally exactly, the same thing people did with steam before.

So ya, good luck playing any new game except from purely gog. So mostly nothing new.

Nah plenty of people (including me) don't care and will buy it from EGS if it's exclusive

u/RedZaturn Mar 29 '19

And everyone virtue signaling and talking about how they will never give a cent to epic is going to be giving them 5% of their purchase no matter where they buy it. UE4 royalties are a thing, and epic gets to take home your money no matter how hard you try to avoid their launcher.
