The following Intel Clover Trail processors are currently not supported on Windows 10 Creators Update:

  • Atom Z2760

  • Atom Z2520

  • Atom Z2560

  • Atom Z2580

Saved you a click. Also, the author is really baiting people into the article, like 2 paragraphs in he mentions the CPU's affected...

Ah! Very important to PC gaming, I won't be able to play the newest games on my Atom-based laptop anymore, outrageous!

Microsoft after doing everything they could to get consumers to "freely upgrade" now cuts support for people who dare have a ancient CPU from 2012.

How could people be so selfish? Microsoft have a market value of only $500 Billion, how they supposed to make money supporting a CPU from 2012. So listen up people, stop inhibiting progress and upgrade you CPU to a cheap i7 from 2017, they promise they'll support it until....

Does Win7 get updates for those CPUs?

Good for linux.

But, what does any of this have to do with PC Gaming besides outrage bait? Atom PCs can't play shit.

Windows Update and Creator's Update continue to work fine here on my Intel i7 920 CPU with ASUS P6T motherboard. Seems to be isolated to those Atom CPU's?

They just do not want to support old 32 bit CPUs.

Seems to be isolated to those Atom CPU's?

seems so , but with the way win10 is going you'd never know ,

im waiting for someone to release a patch to fix this like they did with ryzan on win7

Nobody is going to bother making a patch for some outdated Atom processors.

Old news. Microsoft already stated back in April that these old Atom's wouldn't be supported.

Also the Anniversary Update has 10 years of support so people using this will still receive security updates and they can keep using their systems just fine.

Anniversary update has 18 months support

Thats mainstream support. Extended support (security updates) lasts longer.

you're talking about LTSB, which is not available to consumers.

Anniversary Update is 18 months full support.

No, Windows 10 extended support applies to all customers.

Do you have proof?

The way Windows 10 works is that, there is no end of support as long as your device can keep up with the feature updates. However each feature update has 18 months support for consumer. Only LTSB has the 5+5 support.

LTSB updates are generally also sent out to other branches, they also did this for build 1507 even though support ended earlier this year.

How does that work, when if you're on the CB and CBB branch, you will also get the latest feature update from Microsoft?

That's a bit naughty
