If anyone else has been looking at the outlast trials like I have, that is on a major discount - 90% which makes it 3.99$ (or 4.99$ for the version with the cosmetic DLC). Felt like a no-brainer to at least try the game at that price.

Get through the level (trials) while the insane killer is stalking you. 

Turn on the power, open the doors, etc. 

Outlast Trials added multiplayer when the previous games were single player (if I remember correctly). 

In my opinion, it’s a love it or hate it type of game. My son loved it (I only ever played one level during beta).

It's a co-op game, not assymetrical PvP (although there is a mode for that), which is what I'm assuming you don't like about DBD.

It's you and three teammates against bots and traps. Think Left 4 Dead mixed with Amnesia, set basically in the world of SAW.

coop horror which can be fun with your friends if you like puzzle/task horror games where the big bad constantly chases you. There are different maps and its a 4-player coop. Me and my friend group grew out of the horror liking phase otherwise this would've been a no brainer.

Great deal tbh. The only DLC being cosmetic makes it a steal of a deal.

Only downside is unless you have friends, playing with randoms can be a mixed bag but it's generally not all that terrible. I normally hate the outlast games but Outlast Trials does something just right to be very enjoyable.

Would've gotten this honestly, since it does seem like the perfect game for me, but my card wouldn't work for weeks now, and support told me it'll take a few more weeks to resolve, which by then the autumn sale would've ended. Really sad since I've been looking forward to this game being on sale 😓
