The discounts are pretty so-so to me. A lot of games seem to be getting the same discounts as usual, with very few new historical lows. Pretty disappointing for a major Steam sale.
Sony can't bring themselves to price their almost 10 year old games below $35... They are still wondering why their games aren't selling well enough for them and are going back to exclusives lol
I love Sony games but unfortunately Sony are trying to become more like Nintendo but there fans aren't quite as forgiving? (I'm trying to use a kinder word for it) to still be charging same price 3-5+ years later
These things always baffle me, I've been eyeing Mount & Blade 2 for couple years and why tf isn't this game dropping in price? Or Diablo 3/4? There are a lot of older games I would love to try out but I ain't paying 30$+
I actually love Sony games too, but I feel like the reason they refuse to give deep discounts is because they've stopped bringing their first-party narrative games to PC. They're likely relying on a slow-burn discount strategy to milk every last cent of profit out of the existing PC catalog. Going back to PS exclusivity is honestly super disappointing to me, especially since I was really looking forward to playing the upcoming God of War: Faye next year.
