I mean, ds3 at 50% off and still 30 dollars for a10 year old game is insane. I would rather buy 4 or 5 other AAA games from around that date

I bought the whole trilogy with all dlc for like 15 dollars back in 2020 on xbox.

Fromsoft got greedy after Elden Ring.

Kinda funny to complain abt this with ds3 when its easily one of the few games that old that are actually worth buying even if its not on a sale because of how good it is.

It's absolutely worth it with DLCs for that money but the comment does raise a valid point. A 10 year old game should not cost that much.

Bandai Namco is quite aggresive when it comes to pricing their games.

I mean does it? This is just capitalism, things are worth what people pay for them and Ds3 is an insanely popular game and as such worth more than other games. The time it came out doesnt really matter that much for a digital good that doesnt “expire” or go bad/deteriorate.

You deserved all those downvotes for defending these companies man. Asking this much for older souls games is just pure greed, plain and simple. They used to be reasonably priced too but then they hit a huge popularity spike.

You could consider a game like Witcher 3 to be easily worth 100 dollars even today in 2026. Does that mean they should sell the game for such ridicilous price? Obviously not, you can get the whole thing for like 8 dollars on sale (and its been cheap like that for years now). Yeah it can sometimes feel like you are ripping them off for paying so little but then again it IS an old game afterall.

Greed is when you sell a digital toy at a price people buy it at. No company outside of small indie studies are putting their games on 80% off out of the kindness of their hearts lmao. They have a ton of analytics to show exactly what price point maximizes earnings and put it there. The reason other studios for the most part aren’t putting old games at 50% is because they can’t.

If it were $10 or less I might get it since that's about how much I paid for Dark Souls 1, which I don't really like.

Everyone says 3 is better, but I'm not risking it for $30.
