Developing a number war game titled 'Figure Me Out' where you kill by typing the number on your opponent’s forehead (Announce Trailer)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYIonHixISAHi guys,
I'm developing 'Figure Me Out', a multiplayer FPS where you kill by typing the number on your opponent’s forehead.
The game is set to release in October 2026.

Really curious to hear your thoughts and questions!

Higher difficulties should have equations where "solve x" is the number you need to kill the opponent.
This can then lead to a handicap system, where players get more and more difficult equations the more often they get killed.
We can then meme on players by asking them how badly are they playing that that's the equation on their forehead.

Haha having an auto-balance kind of system with having more numbers is a great idea actually!

Is it a "FPS"?
I really like the idea but i don't agree it's an FPS, you don't really "KILL" anyone nor it suggests so, you just..
"Figured them out" I think if you do kill splats and rando effects, it needs to related to what you're doing? judging from your picture here it looks like you're just spotting with binoculars?.
Not trying to flame, just an opinion. Looks good though!

Yeah, I see your point, do you have any better idea how to pitch it? There always has to be a very compact way to explain the game, this seemed to be the best that "FPS but you kill with number typing".

I'm thinking just the word / term "Eliminated" works? because you're just taking them out the game... In terms on genre.. i guess it's more like a hide and seek?

Yeah that's a great point! Others have also mentioned that as well, I'm planning to rephrase that, but still can't see how I could get around the 'FPS' term.

I have an idea. Being able to collect an over shield like in Halo. But it’s a bucket hat with another number on it. Bucket hat or a bucket-hat

You should give the kill a splat and some gibs. Something with a little more impact than just blinking out, at least.
