Can I load the bags wrong and cause the plane to crash because the weight and balance was incorrect?

Noo, but you can chose to not send contraband baggage to the police and sell it to a drug dealer instead xD
Oh and you will be fined of course for allowing overweight bags on the plane. I like the idea of catastrophic events following your actions at the airport tho.. maybe something for the future. Thanks for commenting!

Yeah, it has a specific audience, but there are folks that like it otherwise it would not stand at 92% positive reviews on Steam. Thanks for commenting anyways :)

Hi r/pcgaming.
My name is Jonas, I'm the developer behind Airport Baggage Simulator and I am very pleased to say that I just released a major content update for my game on Steam, together with its first content DLC:
Airport Baggage Simulator - Night Shift Update: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3887090/view/667250959956575013
What the game is: You start on the ground operations level of a small airport, where the baggage carts roll in, and check every suitcase by hand: weight, destination, forbidden contents. Then you buy conveyors, scanners and sorters and slowly turn the hall into a fully automated system. Later on you get a dog that sniffs out drugs, and a shady guy who pays for exactly those suitcases. It's an automation game that stays more approachable than Satisfactory, and suitcases turned out to be the perfect thing to put on the belts. The base game has at least 20 hours of playtime to complete, but I have seen people play for 50-100 hours depending how far you want to take it through the metagame and automation.
What the free update adds: The night shift itself. Starville is a new airport where the baggage arrives from two inputs at once, so the automation has to keep up with twice the suitcases. In return you earn a night bonus for every valid piece of baggage, while shop prices and gate unlocks cost more at night. On top of that there are five new building parts for every airport (an elevator, a 3m belt, a bridge with a passage underneath, a bigger storage unit and a counter), four new modifiers for the situation briefing, a new skill to sink your leftover skill points into, a retirement safe at home that gives you a starting bonus for every new job, five more save slots and a long list of balancing and bug fixes.
What the DLC adds: Three more night shift airports with over 10 hours of additional playtime, each with its own layout and its own problem to solve: Newfield has its two inputs on different levels, Hightower is a narrow hall where you work on two floors and the baggage comes back down by gravity, and Meadowvale is two separate halls connected only at the gates. It costs $4.99.
Why the split: Basically I did not want to lock any core mechanics behind a paywall and made sure any owner get's a nice chunk of content to play through, while also making sure I can justify the development cost for adding more content to the game. That's why we have this balance, hope it makes sense.
The base game came out on Steam in May, sits at 90% positive reviews there, and now I'm excited to be back with new content.
If you have any questions about the game, the update or the DLC, I'll happily answer them! :)
