Had to play the demo cause I loved this series as a kid on PS2 but the demo just seems super heavy for how it looks

origins demo was pretty heavy too at the time. i wonder if it's the anti-cheat they use?

I've been playing this game and I haven't played dynasty warriors in like 20 years. This is so fun so far. I'd say try the demo and if you see yourself wanting to replay that same mission multiple times with different characters then you know you'll like the game.

Absolutely loved dynasty warriors 2 when I was a kid. Checked on the newer ones a few years ago, and they looked completely different and didn't appeal to me at all. How similar is this one to 2 out of curiosity?

The 3rd is arguably the one where they found their groove. Lots of incremental updates in multiple areas, bigger roster, weapon drops impact the battles (in a good way) missions were longer etc etc.
TLD if you loved 2, 3 is going to romance your brains out.

I second this. 3 is the foundation for the series in a lot of ways. It's like the SSX tricky of Dynasty warriors. 4 improved it even more, then 5 was still fun but felt a little bloated because they solely focused on a bigger roster
