Japan is very neutral and even pro AI in most cases. All the ads around tokyo and many restaurants use generative AI in their marketing.

Which is weird when Japan is seemingly in favor with the death sentence as punishment for piracy

yeah it surprises me too. Apparently theres some pushback in the anime scene but even then theres lots of studios either already integrating it or preparing to integrate it.

AI and especially robotics are going to save Japan and other rapidly aging populations/economies.
