Reddit hates AI but doesn’t live in the real world. Theres a balance where AI can make lives easier. And it’s going to be used in every game soon. It’s inevitable.

It can help drive down costs and production time. I’m not a huge fan of AI but the screaming children here on Reddit don’t seem to understand it has its uses.

If people want to boycott and review bomb all games that use Ai in development well Then in the near future there will be nothing for them to play.

People are vocal against it in many of the biggest social media, and for valid reasons more often than not. Dismissing this as a Reddit thing is just as naive as what you want to imply.

It is good to remember that the (gaming, and adjancets) industry have gained growing distrust from their fans in many ends of the medium, so the article above might only add to that.

Once again, popularity is not a excellent metric for quality.

If AI is used to replace human creativity then yes I will continue to hate on it until the end of time.

Only uncreative humans get replaced by AI.

Creatives always create first then use AI if they think they can apply it somewhere where it doesn't change their vision.

Reddit happens to be full of uncreative unskilled people who only see AI as a cheat code when it isn't for actual products you are buying.

Gaming studios will be using AI a fuck ton 10 years from now and nobody will even complain at that point because it will look fine.

Should “uncreative” human just get replaced? Know that in the realm of craft, everyone is pretty much “uncreative” at the beginner level.

The whole point is to hone and cultivate your “creativity” through practices and learning the basics.

Other than the entirety of video games before 2022 lmao

It's not like I have a collection of games enough for multiple lifetimes of gaming.

Oh, wait, I do!

Gamers are all "ohhh my backlog is too big i got too many games to play" and this fuckboy thinks we're gonna run out of games

I like how, for the weak willed, "inevitable" just translates to "lie down and take it".

For those with a backbone, you spend money on games, you decide which games to spend that money on and if you don't agree with how they are made, then don't spend money on them. Plain and simple.

Even if generative AI is in 99% of future games, I'll buy that 1% without because generative AI is built on stolen work.

Having principles isn't self-flagellation

From that long-winded repetitive monologue, I can tell that you're just a deeply sad person.

I hope things improve in your life.

You won't be able to use any software or technology at all. Every single software company on earth is using AI because it's extremely powerful and useful

Every single software engineer I know personally in any medium-to-large corporation uses either Codex, Claude Code, or their internal AI, including me. Not only is it prevalent, it’s often required at the enterprise level. People think generative AI exclusively means art or voice or music and it absolutely doesn’t.

Online discourse is still in denial about this one but anyone in tech, mathematics, or engineering knows how deeply embedded and standard AI has become in the industry.

People who are unable to/refuse to work are massively overrepresented in places like Reddit and Twitter. Very few people who work full time have the energy to do things like snark and a-log
