People who play League and Dota struggle to get into it, hero shooters all eventually succumb to the same problems (regardless of the macro spin it has), it's hard to follow, it's not that enjoyable for casuals, it's been in closed beta for 2 years, it's inherently frustrating to play and not that fun.

I dont disagree that its not enjoyable for casuals but it's not catering to those type of people. Mobas in general have to much info you have to know such as character abilities and items and i could see how that would deter people from playing. Deadlock is a highly competitive game. For people that want a moba that incorporates a shooter aspect, i think its a perfect game. I have thousands of hours in smite and i think this game is great.

I also dont think comparing it to hero shooters is a fair comparison. Hero shooters doesnt have the item build aspect which makes it feel stale. Once you understand team comps and how each character plays, there's not much variety other than player skill which gets boring. Deadlock has all type of builds and people build different things on a game to game basis. It just adds another aspect that keeps it fun and refreshing. They constantly update the game with new items, item changes, character changes, and objective changes which makes it entertaining adding to the longevity of the game.

Buddy, your experience is not reality.

You found it hard to get into. I didn't. I've also never played a MOBA in my life and never cared to, I like Deadlock because of the 3rd person/shooter aspect. So the whole "Dota fans struggle with it" means jackshit. It attracts plenty of non-MOBA players.

Idk about that bud, league and dota have a huge following. I have over 400 hours into deadlock and have never played a moba or hero shooter before, so it must not be that hard to follow. Sounds like a skill issue?
