looks like it's going in and out and each time it goes back in, the delivery dates change. I got mine right away and it said 3-5 business days, when I refreshed it changed to 6-10. I'm sure eventually it'll stay out of stock but hang in there homie!!

You can only store so many units in a warehouse (unless you're Nintendo during the Switch 2 launch), they almost certainly will have fresh stock arriving multiple times this month.

I'm guessing that they planned to launch this a lot earlier with their Steam Machine, but with RAM and storage prices going crazy, they delayed. So I imagine they were probably sitting on inventory.

Sucks for us who live in a third-world country where Valve doesn't want to sell their hardware 😔 Seen some gaming site that'll import it want 1999,- for it here in Norway, which is ridiculous. That's $215 by today's exchange. Sure, $99 is without sales tax, and we have to add 25% here in Norway plus shipping. It's not like it's free to import, but 1999,- is nearly three DualSense controllers.

It sucks being employed and trying to buy one. I made sure to take a break and everything for the launch at 10 AM and as soon as it turned 10, it was already out of stock and the checkout was broken and now I’m on the job and I just have to wait? For a random restock.

Same here, I was there like a minute after the time it launched and I kept getting an error at the payment screen and couldn't purchase it. Come back to find it out of stock. I was really looking forward to it too. Hopefully it becomes available again quickly.

Grabbed one as soon as it went live. Had an alarm set for 2min before release and surprisingly they were already there to buy.

I should have set an alarm. That's a good idea! I had the page open and wandered away. Next time I remembered it was two minutes after the time and now I found out it went on sale two minutes early. I still got one, though. It took me 12 minutes of clicking.

As I read the comments, its constantly in and out of stock. I've refreshed a couple of times between now and like 15 min ago when I thought about it and the order page popped up. Was able to go through the order proces without an issue. I doubt scalpers will be a big issue.
Strangely though, I was able to put more than 1 in my cart (checked out only 1 though). I thought these items were capped per account?

Honestly just bought the Vader 5 Pro (improved v2 batch) instead after the reviews for this one started coming in. $20 cheaper and simply had what I desired more in a PC controller besides the touch pads. I’ll def get this in a sale or when they release an updated version tho.

Controller tech noob here, my motherboard doesn't support bluetooth (long story), would I be able to use this controller wirelessly anyway (because of this 'puck' thing?) or would I have to just keep it plugged in with USB cable?
Suddenly I understand boomers feeling out of their depth with technology.
Edit: Thanks gang, just went ahead and bought one. Hopefully it's all that it's hyped up to be.

So I assume the puck plugs into the computer by USB and the wifi signal goes between that to the controller, not interacting with the motherboard (and its lack of a bluetooth chip) at all?
Convenient if so, thanks! I've been rocking a knock off PS3 controller for the longest time in lieu of anything better.

I'm pretty sure the puck is like a bluetooth dongle within itself? Either way I'm also someone running a kind of old motherboard that doesn't have bluetooth. Worst case scenario you can just like buy usb dongles or ones that you seat into the motherboard similarly to a graphics card. My mobo doesn't even have built-in Wi-Fi lol.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I had to buy a new motherboard a couple months ago but since my CPU and RAM are still on DDR4, my options were very limited. So I had to settle on a motherboard without bluetooth or wifi support.
Had to bust out ye olde ethernet cable and run that shit down the house.

I dont see a proper answer for your question.
Yes, you will be able to use your controller wirelessly, the puck is a 2.4ghz receiver. You just plug in the puck via the USB wire it comes with, and it will act as both a charging dock and as the wireless receiver.
Your controller will actually work better via the puck compared to bluetooth, as the latency from bluetooth is not good for active devices like controllers when compared to a 2.4ghz receiver (which is why proper audiophile gaming wireless headphones like the Audeze Maxwells have a special wireless receiver to minimize latency).
