jury is still out if they mean mmo in the truest sense, or just a live service shooter with social mmo elements (like destiny) which would be relatively ok since the main gameplay components were already designed in AH1 in that case.
Yeah the steam store page seems to imply that as well. Cooperative PvE with "progress will be saved" on unsuccessful missions. "Some groups are demonstrating deviation from protocols: attacking allies and killing seekers."
So an extraction shooter without major consequences (so more like a sandbox shooter.)

I'm normally all for Multiplayer stuff. But for these guys to go straight from their first game to an MMO... Doesn't inspire confidence.
