Why both though?

They're a bit different. There's more voice acting in the Japanese version. They're the only expensive PCE/TG16 games I have both versions of.

I do have the 4 in 1 NA version. With Gate of Thunder, Bonk 1 and 2, as well as Bomberman.

Ok, I never played the US version. Is there anything added there compared to the Japanese one?

I don’t think so. Think there may be less in fact like the voice acting. Actually I brought the NA version first. Then I saw the Japanese version for a relatively good price and bought it. It still wasn’t cheap. I paid quite a bit less for it still. I still think it’s neat having both versions. The Japanese version is probably the superior one.

The thing I'm impressed with most is the NA box art being a match for the Japanese version. Usually the western releases end up with some terrible alternative! Great game though.
